- Five Star Service is available to customers with confirmed and ticketed travel on the day of Five Star Service in either First or Business class on at least one segment of the customer's itinerary.
- Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance for U.S. locations and 48 hours in advance for locations outside the U.S.
- Customer must be at least 18 years of age or accompanied by an adult.
- Additional charges are applicable for all children under the age of 18.
- Requests for reservations with incomplete customer information will not be confirmed. Reservations with incorrect or unanswered phone numbers will not be eligible for refunds.
- Customer/Agency agrees to provide customer information necessary for American Airlines to coordinate and deliver Five Star Service. Missed service due to incomplete, inaccurate, or missing information will not be eligible for refunds.
- Customer/Agency is responsible for informing Five Star Service of voluntary changes to original itinerary.
- Five Star Service assistance is subject to local airport hours of operation.
- Five Star Service is priced, sold and confirmed based on a pre-defined party size. American Airlines reserves the right to charge for additional customers in the party beyond those that have been confirmed in advance. American Airlines reserves the right to charge the original form of payment for any additional customers.
- During times of peak demand, American Airlines may opt to decline additional reservations for Five Star Service.
- Itineraries involving airlines other than American Airlines or American Eagle may be accepted if flight departs from or arrives at an American Airlines terminal, and full access is allowed by local authorities.
- In the situation of interline connection service, American Airlines does not guarantee access to other airline lounges.
- Service fee is non-refundable for cancellations received less than 12 hours before scheduled service.
- Full or partial refund requests for failure to provide the service as originally booked will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis
- Five Star Service customer is responsible for all VAT taxes that apply, based on point of service.
- All applicable excess baggage fees, change charges and additional collections apply.
- At destinations outside the U.S., porters may be required at an additional charge depending on the number of bags checked.
- For Departure Assistance, American Airlines may opt to cancel Five Star Service assistance if customer fails to show within 20 minutes of scheduled arrival time at the airport.
- Customer must adhere to American Airlines minimum standard check-in times or flight itinerary is subject to cancellation.
- Escort through Customs and Immigration may be provided when American Airlines has access to these airport secured areas
- Five Star Service cannot expedite access through Customs and Immigration.
- Standard Admirals Club terms and conditions apply. Admirals Club lounge access will be provided at the point of purchased service. When an Admirals Club lounge is not available, another lounge facility may be provided, based on availability.
- In the event a delay or cancellation requires accommodation on another airline, your Five Star Service representative will personally escort you to the other airline and, if staffing allows, accompany you until your new flight departs. In the case of arrival assistance on another airline as a result of a flight disruption, Five Star Service will greet you at the gate of the new carrier when possible, and fulfill our original service commitment.
- If the customer chooses to leave the airport during a connection, American reserves the right to charge an additional Five Star Service upon arrival back to the airport for the connecting flight.
- American Airlines is unable to provide a greeter name outside of 24 hours. Greeter name remains subject to change.
- While Five Star Service is available to all of our customers holding confirmed and ticketed space on a qualifying itinerary, it is not designed to address the needs of our passengers with disabilities. Five Star Service does not include continuous care or escort, and Five Star Service customers must be able to be alone and independently care for themselves, particularly during flight disruptions which necessitate an overnight stay in a departure or connecting airport location. Five Star Service does not include, medical assistance, assistance with meals or in restrooms, assistance to passengers with cognitive or developmental limitations, or assistance to passengers with mobility, vision, or hearing limitations.
